I recently visited High force waterfall in Teesdale in the heart of the Durham Dales and was blown away with the sheer force that it produced!.
The drive through the country side was stunning as always ( I love a good old country road drive, especially in the Autumn). High Force is a beautiful place to visit if you like picturesque views and if you love taking landscape photographs. Food wise there are picnic tables, a pub/hotel and a gift shop although we stopped at a café in a nearby village (which was amazing especially the homemade chips!!! – sadly I can’t remember the name of the café). The walk along to the waterfall is beautiful in itself, in the sense of the views of the river and the autumn trees. The actual waterfall drops 21 meters into the water pool which then leads off onto the river.
Thought I would share some photo’s and I would definitely recommend visiting this place if you live within the North East of England! 🙂
Wow! So pretty!
