Today I took a trip into Newcastle and after a few hours of hitting the shops (window shopping mainly – although I did purchase from Lush and Miss Selfridge) I thought it was time for a cup of tea and a cake. I’d heard about a new bakery that has recently opened up on Newcastle quayside and after seeing photo’s online I just new I had to visit! 🙂
I love that the shop is mixed in with the beautiful architecture around Newcastle and that it isn’t far from the Millennium bridge and ofc Tyne bridge.
I love the interior! so homely and vintage. There wasn’t many tables as the place is quite small so we had to wait but by god it was sooooo worth it!. Once we had finally sat down we ordered. My mam got a cream tea (which looked amazing – and tastes too according to her as I didn’t try any), and I got a strawberry cheesecake cupcake and a vanilla thrilla milkshake.
The cake was really nice and the milkshake well that was something else! super tasty and left me feeling very full. The prices were also quite reasonable as well so it is definitely worth it.
By the time we had finished most of the cakes in the display cabinet had gone but I bet they all looked amazing!
I would highly recommend visiting this place if you live in Newcastle or if you are visiting 🙂
