Happy Wednesday, half way through another week! Hope you are all well.
Lindos is a town on the Greek island of Rhodes. It’s known for its clifftop acropolis, which features monumental 4th-century gates and reliefs from about 280 B.C. The Temple of Athena Lindia sits above an earlier temple. On the site’s lower level is the 14th-century Castle of the Knights of St. John. Among the town’s whitewashed buildings, the Virgin Mary of Lindos Church has 15th-century frescoes.
I’ve seen many photo’s of the stunning Lindos, so as you can imagine I was very excited to see it with my own eyes, and boy I wasn’t disappointed!.
Lindos is a MUST SEE if you’re ever visiting the island of Rhodes. It has not one but three beaches: calm Pallas Beach, secluded St. Paul’s Bay, and the main beach, Megali Paralia. Exploring the town was quite enjoyable but watch out for the donkey taxis haha. My favourite part of Lindos was hiking up to the acropolis. The view from up there made the trek getting up there so worth it. Although to get into the actual Acropolis is it €12.
I had a fantastic time exploring this Greek Island and would love to visit again one day. There is also a full Rhodes blog over on my channel just search: amylouise89
