Happy Sunday! Hope you’re all doing well.
Yesterday was National Yorkshire day so we decided to head down there to celebrate. As you all know by now we adore Yorkshire and go regular especially as it’s only around and hour/ hour 30 mins drive away. Due to covid most places now are booking only and because we decided to have a trip out last minute we were stuck for ideas. We found Kiplin Hall by looking in the atlas yes that’s right the atlas!. After looking on there website you didn’t need to book – Brilliant day sorted and off we went not knowing what to expect as we hadn’t been before. We were not disappointed!.
Kiplin Hall is a Jacobean historic house at Kiplin in North Yorkshire, England, and a Grade I listed building. It stands by the River Swale in the Vale of Mowbray. Beautiful gardens as well as a beautiful lake to walk around.
Upon arrival there is plenty of hand sanitising stations and a once way round system is in place. Its £12 entry for adults BUT the best thing is it lasts a whole year! I do love a good deal!. Totally easy to social distance from others due to the large grounds this place covers!. You can go inside the house but we decided not to.
There walled gardens were so pretty and very colourful! So many nice smells of the different flowers, very pleasant to walk around.
Once we had walked around the gardens and did a short woodland walk we walked right the way around the lake. Whilst the car park was a little on the full side we barely seen anyone! Such lovely grounds.
Because there tea rooms are closed at the moment they have recently hired a little local company to cater and cooked stone baked pizzas! This was a huge hit as I love pizza! This proved popular throughout the day and I love that they thought outside the box a little and offered refreshments which were very reasonably priced!.
I had a lovely few hours here and I will definitely be back. So worth the money. I adored finding new places to explore, so pleased we came across this gem of a place!
Where was the last place you visited ?
